The Roundabout Exit Road function is a vocal and visual guide to even the most complicated traffic islands. Hear and see a step-by-step explanation of your progress and easily find the exit you need. Generating brand interest The NVE-NO77PS database includes highly detailed information on about 300,000 Points of Interest (POI) across Europe. The system searches for the POI near to your current position and then displays a host of restaurants, hotels and so on, even highlighting the familiar brand-icons of selected petrol stations. This is a particularly useful feature for drivers with loyalty cards or fuel accounts that can only be used at certain outlets. Choosing your route Drivers can select to use or avoid motorways and can also choose one of three additional travel options: Quick, Short and Alternative. The time needed to get to the destination and the number of kilometres it will take can be compared against each other to make the choice even easier. A-B calculation Before a journey begins, the system can make a one-time assessment of all the possible routes to take and present only the best one on-screen. The easy-to-use in/out zoom takes you from street level to an overview of Europe for an instant snapshot of the ideal journey within a city, from one urban centre to the next, or from one country to another. Widest area covered by DVD-ROM Alpine’s NVE-NO77PS CAR NAVI system stores the maps of most European countries on a single DVD-ROM, so that cross border travel doesn’t mean changing discs. About 100,000 cities are included and 8 languages featured (Danish, Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Swedish). The countries covered are: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, England, Scotland, Wales. Maps of Andorra, Liechtenstein, Monaco, San Marino and the Vatican are also included.. The need for speed The high-speed NVE-NO77PS is the most precise in-car navigation system ever produced. A high-speed RISC CPU instantly processes the data from three different input devices – a Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) antenna, an integrated electronic gyroscope and a vehicle speed sense wire – and matches the assimilated information to the map software on the 8.5 GB double layer DVD-ROM.
